Programas de asistencia alimentaria. Un caso de estudio de intervención social en la alimentación familiar en un barrio pobre de la Ciudad de La Plata, Argentina

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to present an analysis of the importance of different interventions acquire food programs in a poor neighborhood in the city of La Plata, Argentina, between 2006 and 2008, indicating their place in the resolution of the needs food as they are recognized and evaluated by their recipients. It details the characteristics of the empirical work in this neighborhood and, on the basis of the accounts of the beneficiaries, were reconstructed views on the place of products and services of these programs in regular consumption, along with the adaptation, acceptance and use of the same, highlighting the different contributions of food aid in terms of state security and sovereignty through the application of the rights approach to social policy analysis.
