Both agriculture and stock farm has grown in recent years: stock farm sector grew by 7% in the last year, and agriculture is in a major transition for incorporation of technology by producer that allows growth in a province with a different climate from the wet pampas; this, combined with public works, creates a synergism that has increased the productive sector. In agro products supply chain, one of the important links is the industrialization in source, which primarily objective is to commercialize the product industrialized to foreign markets.

As a result of tax benefits that San Luis province has, plus the advantage of its location in the bioceanic corridor, industrial filing was more important than in other provinces.
